...Large
spectre of artists individual script is seen in most of watercolours.
He masterly holds power not only on the brush, but also on colour,
drawing, composition, colouring is chosen very subtly, or, on the
contrary, couses emotional tensity. The possibilities of a
watercolour in his sheets of paper just astonish with explosions of
colours. Everything seems like united movement, kept in one
colouring, without tortured dabs and accidental spots.

The words defining the attributes of watercolour as an
ability to "flow", "be transparent", "fix everything that
passes, that has infused life into a permanent motif" (Paul Signac), serve to characterize Benjaminas Jencius
watercolours very well. Using the "creative work" of fortuity, the
author presents an active interpretation of thought and abstract
concept. However, the content is conveyed not by allusions to
recognizable objects, but by changes of colours and texture, i.e. by
purely formal means. The author finds an individual rhythm, contrast
and amount of energy for every thought so that a reflection of the
whole raise an adequate understanding in the subconscious of the
observer.
